Drinks Anyone?

These are currently at the top of my wishlist. Tim and I have been embracing living on our own and picking out dishes and lots of other "living items". That sounds funny, but it's the best way to describe it. The problem is that Tim and I are really clumsy, especially when it comes to glassware. We have broken 1 wine glass, 2 drinking glasses and a martini glass; and it hasn't even been a year. The only reason we haven't broken any plates is becuase we registered for really hefty plates, we have definitely dropped them. So, while looking around for replacement glasses I came accross these...
I loooove their shape! The stems on martini glasses used to be one of my favorite things, but after actually using them I'm not such a fan (wine glasses are another story). I also love how modern the shaker is; both pieces have such great lines to them! They would look amazing set up on a bar!
They're from Crate&Barrel and are actually really affordable. The shaker is 14.99 and the glasses are $3.95 each, plus both are eligable for the flat rate $4.95 shipping.

Bottoms Up!

Smoothies are my number one, most favorite thing to make/drink. You can't mess them up! and if you do somehow, you can just throw in a banana or a little more orange juice to fix it. They're not like cookies where you only know you messed them up after it's too late. The best part is they're totally healthy for you! Not to mention they're great for feeling refreshed and cool on your spring break.

These are all of the ingredients I used:
  • Green Goodness juice (Bolthouse Farms)
  • A couple of spoonfuls of Strawberry Banana yogurt (Yoplait)
  • The juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 banana
  • ~1/2 cup of frozen blueberries and rasberries (I just get the store brand)
Adjust these measurements to how you like them! And switch out the juices or use a bag of blended frozen fruit. After you make a couple of batches you'll learn what you like and which fruits you can switch out.

I put the juice in first so it blends better. This part especially is a taste balance;
I don't want to taste the green juice so I put in enough for the health benefits but
small enough that it won't be the main flavor.

Cut your bigger fruit so it'll blend faster.

Watch out for seeds!

And you're done!

Spring Break Nails

Even though I am not going any where for spring break this year I am doing all that I can to feel as though I am on the beach. One way I set the mood, no matter what I'm celebrating, is painting my nails. I don't have the biggest collection nor am I very skilled at painting cool designs. However, I've learned that using tape to create lines and adding a little sparkle or an unexpected pop of color goes a looooong way. All this to say, my nails are pretty funky for spring break. I did two layers of the orange and then two thin layers of the sparkles - I did thin layers so I could control an even dispersion of the larger sparkles.

Pretty Feminine Jewelry

I am loving the jewelry by LC Lauren Conrad at Kohl's!! In the past I actually haven't really loved her line of jewelry, which is surprising because I really like everything else she has. However, the items I found today were all amazing! I only got two, but I had a really hard time narrowing it down to those.

So, if you haven't checked out her stuff lately you definitely should! Kohl's has really good sales too, so you can always wait a week or more to possibly get a better deal.

New Purse

Do you remember when I did my post about spring purses? Well I recently bought one of them and I love it even more now that I have it.

This bag is from Forever21 (it's still available!) and I think the price is really perfect too. I've had some bad experiences when it comes to the quality of F21 bags, and this one is not perfect, but the nylon feels nice and not cheap, as do all of the straps.

Even Mojo likes the bag. :)

This purse has soooo many pockets - far more than I was expecting! This is probably my favorite part of the bag; I've had little purses for most of college and those don't come with many pockets. I photographed this the best I could, hopefully you can get a good idea how big it is and what not.

This is the main pocket and it has the usual smaller zipper pocket inside and two slip pockets the other inside wall. The purse is pretty deep, I keep a wallet, notebook, sunglasses, lotion and a zipper pouch, and it still has a lot of room as you can see.

These are the side pockets, there are two on each side and both go to the bottom of the purse. They're really big and are perfect to separate your chapstick, phone and keys so you don't have to jumble them in one pocket.

As a side note this is the lotion I carry - I recently discovered it and I think it is PERFECT for your purse. It's a cute little flattened egg shape and it's cucumber scented, but not too strong. It also moisturizes well, without being greasy - EOS is a pretty good brand. I like this for the purse not only because of the size, but the cap is also secure and the plastic overall is thicker, meaning it can be tossed around and banged up without popping open.

MyGlam Bag

Well this is a delayed review, but it is here nonetheless! One good thing about doing my review now is that I've tried most of the products and can share an informed review with you. I have to say that my first impression of MyGlam was not so hot. I had caught wind the month before that there many unhappy customers and a lack of customer support to right their wrongs. I also read their tweet that said they had been working hard to get everyone's bag to them by Valentine's Day - my bag came a week after Valentine's Day. However, my complaints about the company end there! A few days before I got the package I received an e-mail with a tracking code, which I loved and it was definitely a nice touch. And the products.... well, let me show you :)

First, you have to love the envelope! It's so PINK! and I'm pretty sure this is the packaging it comes in every month, not just February. I actually made Tim bring this to me while I was at work because my tracker said it had been dropped off. (such a sweet husband)

One of the sweetest things they sent (pun intended) was a bonus gift of chocolate. It took all of my self control to wait to photograph this before eating them!!

This is the first item I want to show you because it's the only one I'm not thrilled with. I've never been a big fan of masks like these and I don't really have a reason for it. This one in particular really stung my skin and made my face felt tighter and not hydrated. I'm sure this is just my skin though, I don't think it's a bad product and now I know never to get it for myself.

This was next product, X Out Shine Control, was one that I was really skeptical of. It's made by the same people who created Proactive (which did not work at all from me) and I usually find shine controls either drying or uneffective. I stand corrected with this though! This works great! I'm actually saving it for warmer months when I will need it.

This is a luxury brand sample set, which explains their small size. I only got one use out of the mask, but it worked really well! My face felt really fresh and rejuvinated and tighter (in a good way) even though I'm young and don't really need it. I looked up this company because I wasn't familiar with it and found that all their products use natural oils and other ingredients from the Dead Sea. Also, each of these products full size are a little over $100!

This is the only make up product in the bag and it is NYX Roll On Shimmer. The bottle says it can go on your face, eyes or body, but I think I would only use it on my eyes. Even after blending this out it still leaves a slight tint of the purple - not something I would want on my body. I've been putting it on top of brown eye shadow or as a final touch to a smokey eye, it adds a pretty final touch. I think this was a full size product and if it wasn't I know it'll last me a long time!

This is the last item and definitely the most exciting! It is a $100 gift certificate to any of the styling tools or hair extensions. So awesome!! I haven't decided what I'm going to get yet, I'm leaning towards the blow dryer, but we'll see. I am just blown away by this gift! I would have been pumped if this was the only thing in my bag!

Overall it was a great bag and I look forward to next month's!
