Tim and I are in the middle of buying a house and I am sooo excited!! I have been scouring Pinterest and blogs looking for DIYs. Buying a house is expensive enough, not to mention we need to buy a lot of furniture - we decided to leave behind the college furniture.
These are four DIYs that I will definitely be doing!
I love the hanging plants and shelves for plants, because our cats looove to eat plants and knock them over. Plus, with the house that we're looking at there are perfect windows for both of these. The measuring cups are something I would do now if I wasn't moving. I do not liking digging in a drawer for that one teaspoon that I know is in there. And finally, those bookends are the definition of shabby-chic. Bookends that will actually hold up books, what a novel idea. (hehe pun intended!)

Quoted.
Oof. These words hit home right now. I'm so close to graduating, the only thing left is an internship this summer. The step between school and a real job feels like a leap - hence the quote. However, I had my senior show, which means my portfolio is complete and printed as well as online (you can see it here!). I feel so proud of that!! I have already started mentally editing it and there are some pieces I'd like to see go, but I know that will probably always be true. For now I'm letting it be while I hunt down a job.
I hope you all are enjoying the spring weather. Spring always makes me clean and purge lots of stuff I don't use and I'm especially loving that this year.

Dreamy
Today I'm feeling pink and dreamy... aka girly.
On another note I'm getting really annoyed with text becoming blurry and pixel-y when I save as a jpg. hmmm...

It Snowed!
It snowed here! It wasn't much, but it hasn't felt like winter for a while, so I don't mind. Our little Honda looks so cold out there. The snow outside makes me get stuff done inside, like organzing! Maybe nail polish is low on importance, but I had fun. I weeded out some colors that I don't use or like and put them in color order. My room stunk so bad of nail polish after this!
The kitties have fun watching melting snow drip - yep, it's melting already!

stay cozy in the winter
If my high school self saw my style now, I would probably think I was dorky. I just can't help loving quirky sweaters. Winter time is so dreary and drab, a funky sweater is the perfect thing to cheer things up. The sweaters above are all from asos, I stumbled accross them window-online shopping.

Lipstick
Helloooo to everyone! So lipsticks are not quite my thing, I'm definitely new to figuring out which shade works with what look. For now I know that I like light weight, moisturizing lip products and I've also discovered that I like the results of more daring colors. My lips are fairly pigmented naturally, so I just won't keep use a lipstick if it only gives a subtle change.
With that said, I was at the store looking for a new lipstick to try - specifically a new brand or formulation. I've never tried a lipstick from Maybelline (and I've only heard amazing things about them), plus this Color Whisper line is new! I picked up the color Coral Ambition and I really like it!!
According to their website, it's a gel formulation, so if feels very light and smooth on you lips. I also think it wears really nicely because you can still rub it in/around a bit after wearing it for a while. There's no smell to it and swatching it doesn't look very impressive, but it definitely shows up on the lips! I would definitely recommend this.
